Naya Kanga formerly known as Ganja La Chuli, which is a part of the Langtang Himal. The normal route of ascent is via the North East Ridge. It is not conclusive who made the first ascent but several romantics would like to credit H W Tilman with the feat. One of the rewards of reaching the summit of Naya Kanga is the superb views of peaks close to or in Tibet. The stunning panorama looking North East over peaks in the Jugal Himal includes Lanshisa Ri (6,370m), Pemthang Ri (6,836m) and Pemthang Karpo Ri (6,830m), to Shishapangma (8,046m) which is the highest peak in the Chinese Territory and the last of the 8,000m summits to be climbed.
